Manifesto

We started this because most software feels like it was built by people who don't use it.

Look around. The tools we rely on are slow, cluttered, and full of features nobody asked for. The industry decided shipping fast was more important than shipping well. We disagree.

Shipyard is a small crew. Designers who write code. Engineers who argue about kerning. People who restart builds twelve times before anyone else sees them — because something felt half a second too slow.

Every product that leaves this studio has passed through the same filter: is it fast? Is it honest? Would we pay for it? Would we recommend it to a friend without a caveat?

A shipyard is where things are built with precision, patience — then launched to survive on their own. Not "good enough." Not "we'll fix it later." Ready.

We don't have a product manager. We don't have sprints. We have taste, conviction, and an unreasonable commitment to getting it right.

How We Work

  1. Speed is respect

    Every millisecond you wait is one we wasted. Performance is a feature, not a metric.

  2. Design is the product

    Not a layer. The interface is the thing. If it doesn't feel right on first touch, nothing saves it.

  3. Less, but better

    Three things done perfectly over ten done adequately. Every feature earns its place or gets cut.

  4. Your data stays yours

    Local when we can. Minimal when we must. Never sold, never shared. No exceptions.

  5. Ship, then sharpen

    We ship with conviction, listen to real use, and make every version embarrass the last.
